Election Day in Baltimore: Polls Open 7 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday (Baltimore Charm City News)

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, and polls across Baltimore City will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Baltimore voters cast their ballots at their assigned polling place, and anyone in line when the polls close should stay in line and follow the directions of election judges at the site.

Maryland voters are choosing a governor this year, with Gov. Wes Moore's first term on the ballot, along with all of the state's U.S. House seats. Maryland has no U.S. Senate race in 2026, so Baltimore ballots are led by the governor's race, congressional contests, and state and local offices.

If you missed the Oct. 13 registration deadline, you have not missed your chance to vote. Same-day registration is available at your polling place on Election Day, a Maryland option that was also offered at early-voting centers during early voting, which ran from Oct. 22 through Oct. 29 across the state.

Most Maryland voters are not asked for identification at the polls. The exception is some first-time voters who registered by mail and whose identity was not verified in that process, so those voters may want to bring identification with them to avoid any delay at check-in on Tuesday.

Voters who still hold a mail ballot should not put it in a mailbox on Election Day. Ballots must be received by the local board of elections, so hand-deliver yours to the board, to an early-voting or polling location as directed, or use an official drop box by 8 p.m. — drop boxes close at 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.
